District 7980 Seeks Nominations for District Governor 2029–2030

District 7980 Seeks Nominations for District Governor 2029–2030

To apply: dgnd.d7980.org

Do you know a Rotarian who leads with passion, inspires others, and wants to make a lasting impact? If so, encourage your club to consider nominating them for District Governor.

District 7980 is now accepting club nominations for the position of District Governor 2029–2030.

Serving as District Governor is one of Rotary's most rewarding experiences. It is an opportunity to support clubs, develop leaders, strengthen membership, advance service, and help shape the future of Rotary across our district. Along the way, you'll gain new leadership skills, broaden your perspective, and work alongside an incredible network of dedicated Rotarians.

Rotary clubs wishing to nominate a qualified candidate must submit their nomination through the online nomination process no later than November 20, 2026 here: dgnd.d7980.org.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to discuss their interest with their club leadership and secure their club's endorsement before submitting.

Ask any past District Governor, and they'll likely tell you the same thing: it's a lot of fun. You'll visit clubs, celebrate successes, help clubs overcome challenges, attend unique Rotary events, and build friendships that last a lifetime. You'll meet inspiring people from across our district, throughout Rotary, and around the world.

Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. From helping clubs grow and thrive to supporting projects that change lives, the District Governor role allows you to leave a legacy that strengthens Rotary for years to come.

Rotary changes lives, including our own. District Governor is a unique chance to lead, learn, serve, and grow while making a difference throughout District 7980.

  • Be an active member in good standing of a Rotary club within District 7980.

  • Demonstrate the leadership, commitment, and ability to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a District Governor.
  • Meet all qualifications for District Governor as outlined in the Rotary International Manual of Procedure and Rotary Code of Policies.
